A native Californian,
Scott Jordan began his law enforcement career with
the Garden Grove Police Department in 1977, where
promoted through the ranks to the position of Deputy
Chief. Scott was appointed Chief of the Tustin
Police Department on January 3, 2005. During his
career, Chief Jordan has developed expertise in
community policing, strategic planning, and the
effective use of resources. Chief Jordan attended
California State University, Fullerton, where he
earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a
Master of Public Administration. He has also served
as an adjunct faculty member at CSUF, teaching
criminal justice administration and personnel
management. In addition, he is a graduate of the
POST Command College.
Chief Jordan is well
known as an active member of the Tustin community.
He is a member of the Tustin Chamber of Commerce,
past board member for the Tustin Boys and Girls
Club, and is Past-President for the Tustin Kiwanis
Club. Professionally, Chief Jordan is a member of
the California Police Chief’s Association and the
International Association of Chiefs of Police, where
he serves on the Civil Rights Committee. He is also
Chair of the Integrated Law and Justice Agency of
Orange County.
