THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
TURNS PASSION INTO COMMUNITY ACTION

The Foundation directs charitable funds to the real and immedidate needs and interests of OUR community. As a direct result of YOUR involvement, the Tustin Community Foundation has:

♦ Contributed over $125,000 in grants and awards to Tustin area non-profit organizations including Families Forward, Special Olyumpics, the Tustin Senior Center, Tustin High School baseball and football, Tustin's 'So Cal' Swim Team and the Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts;

♦ Organized low cost CPR/AED and First Aid classes for residents;

♦ Planned a no-cost Disaster Preparedness training in tandem with the Tustin Police Department;

♦ Presented a free Teen Safe Driving Awareness Seminar for teens and their parents;

♦ Kicked off the LIVEgreen program in association with our local waste management company (CR&R) that raises environmental awareness in the community with discussions on eco-topics such as recycling; a free compost day, monthly tips in the Foundation's newsletter, and more;

♦ Sponsored events that benefit local non-profits, such as 'High Tea on the High Seas' (June 11, 2011) which will raise money for the Tustin Historical Society and the Assistance League;

♦ Have an annual Volunteer Luncheon to allow local non-profits to honor their special volunteers;

♦ Present a Thanksgiving Breakfast that brings local citizens together to hear a message of hope and thanksgiving. The 2010 speaker was Dave Carey, an inspiring Vietnam War POW.

♦ Organize an annual Pancake Breakfast at the City's Egg Hunt is offered to families for a nominal fee.

♦ Support arts in our community through the Partners in Parks program to help raise funds for a permanent and enduring mosaic art wall in Tustin's Citrus Ranch Park.
